Who is Coach Nick?
Passionate Mentor, Player Developer, and Soccer Specialist
My coaching journey started with one goal: to understand the game better and improve as a player. However, coaching quickly became much more than that—it became a passion.
Helping young players develop, guiding them to reach their full potential, and seeing their progress on and off the field is what truly drives me.
In my first year as a coach, me and the boys managed to win the Final 4, beyond team success, my greatest achievement has been developing individual players and helping them play at the highest level.
I am also actively involved with Football West, running grassroots programs in primary and high schools, as well as working with OKO Soccer Academy, where I help players refine their technical and tactical abilities. My experience as a State League Division 1 player has shaped my understanding of what it takes to succeed, and my personal setbacks, including injuries, have taught me the best training methods for strength, recovery, and injury prevention.

Qualifications
I hold a B Licence and a MiniRoos Certificate, and I have had the privilege of coaching in some of the best academy clubs in WA, including Subiaco, Stirling Macedonia, and UWA, leading teams from U13 to U16.
2022: Youth “C” Licence awarded by Football West
2023: Miniroos Certificate

Languages
Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, I easily connect with international players, ensuring clear communication and deeper understanding.

Coach Nick the Player
My football career started when I was a young 8-year-old in my hometown in Italy. At 13, I moved to a higher division team where I made my debut at 17 as a Senior Player.
When I turned 23, I decided to move to Spain where I spent two years playing in “preferente”, the fourth division of Spanish football, where on top of having a great abroad experience, I had the chance to learn a new language and create a strong relationship with my teammates, gaininga a better understanding of a different football culture and way to play the game.
I moved to Australia in 2017, here I played in different clubs reaching the State League division, winning leagues titles and individual titles such as Golden Boot and Player of the Year on multiple occasions.
Currently, I am actively playing for Wanneroo City SC in State League for the second year in row. For the 50th year of the club our goal is to win the league and get promoted.
